Jim Pickett with his wife Cathy are the founders of Country Roads Miatas. They live in Pinnacle, NC. They led us on many adventures and even started our annual fall drive called Miatas at the Back of the Dragon, going on for 6 years. At the end of December 2022, and 7 years of planning and organizing, they both have retired from their position. As a Club we are grateful for their vision and look forward to more years of Zooming these back roads with them.
Our new President is Kim Greenwell, here with her daughter Sable Townsend. They have been with the club since 2016 and live in High Point, NC. Sable is the inspiration for the fundraiser that takes place with our fall event. The money collected goes to the Surry County Autism Society of NC. Sable is the most enthusiastic member of our club. Once you meet her, you will agree.
Tena Hough is our Vice President, here with her husband Lee. They have also been with the club since 2016 and live in High Point, NC. Tena has experience in orchestrating large Miata events, such as the Miatas at Myrtle Beach, and has assisted in our Miatas at the Back of the Dragon each fall.
Angie Kimel is our Secretary/Treasurer. She and her family joined Country Roads in 2021. Like other Family Zoomers, they started with one, then 2 more cars joined fleet. Her husband and son also have a Miata! A family that zooms together, stays together.
